The 2020 vintage opened with a winter characterized by cold temperatures and regular rainfall.

The first part of spring was very hot with temperatures above the seasonal average, while in the last part there was a winter blow that brought temperatures down, bringing snow even to the hills. Luckily the vine shoots weren't compromised!!!

The beginning of May brought abundant rains and temperatures in the seasonal average, then June was very unstable with very high humidity.

The summer season began in July with high temperatures and no rain. The month of August was very discontinuous from the second fortnight, all of which generated a very hot September in line with the summer months.

The harvest began on 15 September with the first Sangiovese and Trebbiano grapes from the Umbrian valley.

The last week of September and the first week of October were ideal for the Sagrantino and Trebbiano grapes from the Umbrian Arneto valley.

Overall, the 2020 wines are certainly very concentrated due to the heat of the last period but at the same time there is a good freshness which represents various moments of rain and cold temperatures that occurred during the year.

Umbria White 2020 IGT

Number of bottles produced: 6,500

Frankly golden, the nose offers the inevitable notes of citrus notes and yellow-fleshed fruit flanked by mineral hints in a context that recalls the Mediterranean scrub. The sip is satisfying, full and well balanced between freshness and matter, of great persistence.
